Permanent Martyr Construction Project Design Selection Underway in Finland – Atte Kaleva. MP

 

Anurup Titu.Helsinki.: Great Language Martyrs Day and International Mother Language Day were observed in Finland with utmost respect and love. Leaders of various communities in the country paid their respects to language martyrs by placing flowers at the temporary Martyr’s Minar in Kontula, the capital of Finland, at 12:01 PM on the first watch of the day. Two commemorative postage stamps were released in Finland on the occasion of International Mother Language Day.

The presence of foreign guests and Bangladeshi community to celebrate the day was remarkable despite the extreme cold and snow.

The present Sudhijan remembered with deep respect the glorious history of self-sacrifice and self-awakening of the great language martyrs.

In the fortnight of the day there was a children’s drawing competition and prize distribution organized by Kontula Art School. In a video speech recorded by Atte Kaleva MP, in the chief guest speech at the prize distribution and exhibition ceremony of the Children’s Drawing Competition, he informed everyone about the progress of the permanent Shahid Minaret construction project in Finland. He said that the construction of permanent Shaheed Minar in Finland is an ongoing process, currently the City of Helsinki is working on the proposed design and a person from the City Corporation will be appointed for the project.

In the speech of the special guest, Seyda Sohrabi said that about 7.9 billion people in the world speak about 7 thousand languages, almost half of which are in danger. He emphasized on creating awareness to preserve these mother tongues.

Taslima Zaman, publisher of Sanbad 21.com, one of the sponsors of the event, Heidi and Antti Sivakop, head of Kontula Art School, also spoke at the discussion meeting. Similar Titu was in overall cooperation. At the end of the discussion meeting, Mr. Bhuiyan N Zaman, the chief sponsor and chairman of the permanent Shaheed Minar construction project in Finland, editor of Sangam21.com, thanked everyone.

At the end of the program, the guests, children and their parents paid their respects at Shaheed Minar.
